Jeffrey Park Townhomes

Jeffrey Park is a large residential development in the vicinity of the Short North Arts District & Italian Village in Columbus, Ohio. Built over various phases, BBCO Design played a variety of roles including Facade Design, Design Architect & Architect of Record on various phases of the development.

The townhome phase of the project involved the design of 4 different types of model units of various sizes and facade types. The unique design challenge presented was that the townhomes had to be designed as independent units with the ability to be constructed as doubles, with the adjacencies driven by sales. This required special consideration by the local historic preservation review board. BBCO presented extensive streetscape renderings of the development with various combinations of unit adjacencies to depict possible outcomes. These were well received by the commission and were subsequently approved as they met the review boards intent of creating a more organic neighborhood versus a large development.
