THE ROLE
As an Architect – Level 1, you will participate in architectural work across projects of moderate size and complexity, spanning education, residential, and mixed-use building types. You will bring technical precision and design ambition in equal measure, contributing to a collaborative team that never settles for good enough.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Independently perform architectural design assignments on projects of moderate size and complexity
Conduct analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies; develop design layouts
Prepare project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data
Write reports, plans, cost estimates, and calculations
Collaborate actively with team members, bringing your full self and sharing sight on project direction
Research and record information in support of assigned project work
WHAT YOU BRING
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
Active architectural license (required)
3–5 years of professional experience in an architectural practice
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and standard project delivery software
A detail-oriented mindset with the drive to build and re-build until it's right
Strong written and verbal communication skills

BBCO is a Columbus-based architecture and interiors firm with an Eye to Elevate — in the built environment and in the teams that shape it. We are inherently non-conformist, committed equally to accuracy and creativity, and relentlessly focused on impact. We're growing, and we're looking for a seasoned licensed architect who can lead complex work, mentor others, and move seamlessly between visionary thinking and technical mastery.
THE ROLE
Depending on your background and experience, you may be placed at Level 2 (6+ years) or Level 3 (8+ years). At both levels, you will own significant technical and design responsibilities on major projects — including education, residential, and mixed-use work — while contributing to a culture that prizes collaboration, mentorship, and persistent progress.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead specific technical design aspects of major projects from investigation through recommendation
Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions that best meet client needs
Apply advanced architectural concepts independently; develop new techniques and approaches where needed
Provide architectural consultation on large, complex projects in planning, design, and coordination phases
At Level 3: Participate in conceptual design and provide full project support as a subject matter expert
At Level 3: Liaise with Project Management, consultants, and firm leadership on technical solutions and strategies
Mentor and guide less experienced team members — because mentorship is mutual here

Active architectural license (required)

THE ROLE
The Senior Project Architect is a trusted technical and design authority at BBCO. You will present directly to clients on complex design and technical solutions, work alongside Project Management to supervise the team's design and technical delivery, and serve as a reliable force for quality and consistency across every project you touch. This is a role for someone who has seen enough to lead with confidence — and is humble enough to keep learning.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Present directly to clients on technical and design solutions with authority and clarity
Partner closely with Project Managers to supervise and elevate the team's design and technical output
Serve as a subject matter expert on complex building systems, materials, and project delivery
Lead design development and construction documentation on projects of significant scope and complexity
Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior architects and architectural staff — mentorship is mutual here
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and agency reviewers through all phases of project delivery
Uphold BBCO's standard of accuracy and craft — we build and re-build until it is right
Contribute to a culture of Shared Sight: communicate proactively, stay organized, and bring the team along
WHAT YOU BRING
